Curriculum

The aim of the Little Giggles Child Care Centre’s curriculum is to discover and nurture each child’s unique potential and to maximise their wellbeing and learning outcomes for future success, through play- based learning as prescribed by the Australian Government’s approved learning frameworks.

The ideas at the foundation of our curriculum flow from the interests and experiences of each child as an individual, and are driven by the needs and expectations of their family. Our qualified educational leader develops the content of each educational program through extensive collaboration and evaluation with our children, their families, educators and the learning frameworks, and years of professional understanding. This process ensures that each child is exposed to a wide variety of tailored, intentional and meaningful learning environments and experiences that are fun, developmentally appropriate and seek to promote their innate potential, while being responsive and adaptable to satisfy the spontaneity of a child’s curious mind.

Family involvement plays an important role in the success of a child’s learning journey and we encourage our families to actively participate in the curriculum and to share in this journey. We also keep you well informed of your child’s developmental progress and milestones in a variety of family friendly formats that are conveniently accessible at your leisure.

Special needs support

Curriculum

If your child has a special need, our educators work in close collaboration with professional inclusion agencies to ensure that your child’s participation in our curriculum is safe, inclusive and maximised, giving your family peace of mind. This support does not cost your family extra, so please speak with our helpful centre manager to find out how we can help you and your child fully participate in early childhood education and care with us.

Education for our educators

We believe that to be successful and insightful educators that guide and inspire children, our own professional learning journey must also develop and grow. This is why our educators participate in regular ongoing professional development opportunities and keep up-to-date with recognised best practice childhood pedagogy, to ensure that your child continually receives the best in quality education and care.
